Hocane was born in Karachi but she grew up in Islamabad where she completed her education from Bahria College, Islamabad. As a teenager, she performed as a theater artist .before she started working as a VJ for ARY Musik.
Hocane went on to make her career in the Pakistani TV industry. She is known for her role in serials Meri Ladli, Kahi Un KahiTum Mere hi Rehna, Marasim andMadiha Maliha. Her portrayal of a girl subjected to family pressures and a forced wedding in Marasim gained her critical acclaim and recognition.
Recently, she has been featured in Na Maloom Afraad which marks her debut feature film. The film received generally positive reviews.
